8th Annual Dog Jog
and Pooch Plunge

The 8th Annual City of Wilmington Dog Jog will be held on Saturday September 8, 2007 at the Legion Stadium Sports Complex. This year’s event will benefit the Cape Fear Golden Retriever Rescue, Inc. and includes a 5k run (for humans only), a 1.5 mile fun walk (for humans and dogs), the “Pooch Plunge” (free swim at the Legion Pool for dogs only), vendor areas, door prizes and much more!
All dogs who register for the Wilmington Dog Jog will enjoy free unlimited access to the Legion Pool on the day of the event (9/8) from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the week of Sept. 10th – Sept. 14th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Dogs only will be allowed in the pool; “Pooch Plunge” passes will be distributed on the day of the event for those registered for the Dog Jog. Anyone not registering for the Dog Jog will be able to use the pool on 9/10 – 9/14 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a fee of $5.00 per dog per day. All proceeds will benefit the Cape Fear Golden Retriever Rescue, Inc.
 Register now by downloading a brochure at below, or register on the day of the event beginning at 8:00 a.m. The registration fee is $25 per runner and/or dog and includes one of our famous Dog Jog t-shirts while supplies last! If you wish to run and then do the fun walk with your dog only one registration fee is required. The Pooch Plunge is included in all registrations.
