The Port, Waterway & Beach Commission investigates, initiates and supports general water resources development project to include:
The Commission studies various projects trying to obtain new and beneficial projects for this area, and maintains an awareness of project effects on the quality of the waters and inter-relations with natural resources. The Commission has the responsibility of studying and preparing recommendations for the best use of the 3% room occupancy tax funds to be presented for approval.
Membership
There are fifteen (15) members on the commission with five (5) members appointed by City Council to serve an undesignated term.
