Downtown Parking Advisory Committee

The Downtown Parking Advisory Committee actively advocates and advises Wilmington City Council on matters related to the parking program. The overall goal is to balance stakeholder and community interest with policy, programmatic needs and the financial integrity of the parking program. 

Membership

The Downtown Parking Advisory Committee is comprised of nine members who serve three-year staggered terms. 

• Eight (8) members are appointed by City Council
  • Two (2) recommendations for appointment are made by Downtown Business Alliance 
  • One (1) recommendation for appointment is made by Residents of Old Wilmington 
  • One (1) recommendation for appointment is made by the Cape Fear Community College Board of Trustees 
  • One (1) recommendation for appointment is made by Wilmington Downtown, Inc. 
  • Three (3) At Large members
• One (1) member is appointed by New Hanover County
