Workforce Housing Advisory Committee

City Council and the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners created a permanent joint committee on workforce housing through the execution of an Interlocal Agreement.  The Committee is charged with overseeing the development of a comprehensive study on workforce housing; the initiation of ideas for a public awareness effort around workforce housing; and the development of a long-term work plan and projects that further workforce housing in the County and the region.

Membership

The committee is comprised of thirteen (13) members, with six (6) appointed by City Council, six (6) appointed by the NHC Board of Commissioners, and the Chair of the Joint City/County Community Relations Advisory Committee.
