Non-profits with 501(c)(3) status are eligible to apply for civic partnership grant funding. Applicants must have programming within Wilmington’s city limits. Applicants must engage in 1) activities which cultivate Wilmington’s cultural identity through the arts, attractions or other events or 2) organizations which provide services to recruit, grow or retain businesses in the City of Wilmington. Applicant activities must directly or indirectly be focused on enhancing the City’s tax base, creating jobs or otherwise stimulating the local economy by drawing in visitors.
Required Documents: Please provide the following document noting that any application submitted which does not include the documents requested will be considered incomplete and ineligible for consideration.
- Completed application form (see below for online form).
- IRS Tax Exempt Letter (501(c)(3) for nonprofit status.
- The latest two years of annual financial statements completed by an outside, third party firm with appropriate credentials. Additional information may be requested if required to understand the financial statements submitted.
- Current roster of Board of Directors.
Application: The application must be completed using the online form posted on this website. Responses to the application questions should be brief and succinct.
Evaluation Criteria: Applications will be reviewed by the City Manager’s Office and recommendations will be included in the Recommended Budget for City Council approval.
Submission of Application Package: Completed applications and required documents must be submitted online by the deadline.
Application Deadline: Monday, January 31, 2025 by 3:00PM.
