Overview

This 0.7-mile multi-use path along Kerr Avenue will provide a safe pedestrian route from the UNCW campus and College Road to commercial areas north of Market Street via the NCDOT Kerr Avenue project. On the north end, it will connect with existing NCDOT sidewalks along Kerr Avenue that run from Randall Parkway, across Market Street all the way to Sunglow. On the south end, it will connect with a signalized crosswalk that will provide a safe crossing of College Road and link to UNCW and the Gary Shell Cross-City Trail. The feasibility study has been completed and design is underway. Construction is anticipated to begin in fall 2024.
