Located off U.S. Highway 421, nCino Sports Park offers seven full-size soccer fields for challenge and classic soccer leagues, adult leagues, and other soccer tournaments. This 64-acre multipurpose complex is home to the Wilmington Hammerheads Youth FC. The nonprofit, which oversees multiple youth leagues, donated the land to the city under a management agreement.
The park is currently under construction with completion scheduled in 2024. When finished, the park will have 11 full-sized fields, one of which will be synthetic turf, night lighting, irrigation and a 2,000-square-foot restroom building. The complex offers opportunities for additional sporting events, such as lacrosse, as well.
Current fields remain active during construction. These fields are used 10 months out of the year for classic and junior level practices, as well as recreational games. During winter months, portable lighting is brought in to allow teams to practice into the evening hours.
