Afterschool Program

Program, full for the full academic term, includes homework assistance, arts/crafts, sports activities, healthy snacks and more.  

Transportation pick up from Rachel Freeman Elementary School and College Park Elementary School.

Ages: Kindergarten - 5th grade  

Cost: $30/month  (Fee assistance is available)

Times: Monday - Friday (2:30 - 5:30 p.m.)

Kids Night Out at Maides Park!

Please join us for Kids Night Out at Maides Park! This program will feature an evening full of fun, games, and laughter at the Davis Center! Parents: Drop your children off for a fantastic night... and we'll even feed 'em! This is the perfect opportunity for kids to make new friends, enjoy a variety of fun-filled activities, and parents get a chance to enjoy a well-deserved evening off! Dates to be announced for FALL 2024!
Ages: 5-12
Cost: $5/participant
Location: 1101 Manly Avenue, Wilmington

Mentorship Program for Girls (Girls in Real-Life Situations)

Program for adolescent girls (ages 12 - 17) that strives to integrate leadership, service, and education components. This program includes: Education, health and social topics; Guest Speakers; Field Trips

Program operates on Monday evenings from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the MLK Center.

Movie Night!

With the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, sometimes it’s hard to find time to plan a family fun night. Wilmington Parks and Recreation staff fully understand this - and we’ve got you covered. Join us every first Friday of the month for our hand-picked movie night! This event is at no cost to the attendees and will take place from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. which is perfect for a school night. We also encourage you to guess the movies with your group based on our mystery descriptions/hints!
