Battle of the Badges Blood Drive a Success

Last month, the Wilmington Fire Department participated in the second annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive, and it was a success! In the yearly competition between the Wilmington Fire Department and Wilmington Police Department, community members and emergency responders banded together in support of the American Red Cross, donating blood. This was in efforts to aid the national blood shortage and save lives of those affected.  

Thank you to everyone who came out to donate or shared the event. In total, 46 pints of blood were collected, beating last year’s number. WFD looks forward to participating again next year and collecting even more!
