Women's Self-Defense

The Wilmington Police Department offers a FREE Women's Self Defense Training Course. The training will consist of four classes that are taking place on February 12th, 13th, 19th & 20th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Haynes/Lacewell Police and Fire Training Facility at 3100 Hurst Street. The training will be taught by female officers from the Wilmington Police Department.   

Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years of age 
• You must be able to attend all three classes due to a long wait list.
• Prior to admission into the course a criminal background check will be conducted to determine suitability for admission to the course

Additional Information

• The first night will be in the classroom. The following two classes will consist of performing physical activity. Wear comfortable clothing that you can freely move in.
